Throw out everything you think you know about Merlin,Arthur, and Camelot. That's what the BBCdid with its 2008 reimagining of the Arthurian legend aptly titled Merlin. Thefirst season, which was shown on NBC herein the US (thefirst BBCprogram to be broadcast on USnetwork TV in decades) and recently picked up by SyFy, is beingreleased soonby BBC Home Video. Is it worth pickingup? That's a tough question to answer. It largely depends on a viewer's ability toignore the myriad flaws and gaffs. Ifyou can do that, it's a pretty good show.
